Delivering integrated BIM solutions for complex landscape and environmental preservation projects.

Quick Facts
Project Overview
This case study showcases the BIM coordination and CAD to BIM expertise our specialists bring to VectorQX, demonstrated by their prior success in the Oman Botanic Garden development project.
The Oman Botanic Garden is a landmark initiative under the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Oman, designed to celebrate the country’s native plant species, natural landscapes, and cultural traditions. Located near Al Khodh, Muscat, the development spans approximately 430 hectares within a protected natural reserve surrounded by Oman’s northern mountain ranges.
The project involved the development of coordinated BIM environments supporting planning, visualization, interdisciplinary coordination, and efficient project execution for this large-scale sustainable infrastructure and landscape development.
Client Challenge
The project presented several technical and environmental coordination challenges due to its scale, ecological sensitivity, and multidisciplinary scope.
Key project challenges included:

The engagement scope included:
The Approach & Solution
The project workflow focused on developing an intelligent and coordinated BIM environment capable of supporting complex landscape, architectural, and infrastructure coordination within an environmentally sensitive development zone.
Integrated BIM methodologies were utilized to coordinate architectural, landscape, structural, and MEP systems within a centralized digital model environment. The workflow supported improved collaboration, early-stage clash identification, and streamlined project planning.
Special emphasis was placed on maintaining data consistency and model accuracy while managing extensive environmental and botanical information associated with the development.
3D BIM models were also used to enhance project visualization, design understanding, and stakeholder coordination throughout the planning and execution stages.
The BIM-based approach contributed to improved design efficiency while supporting the sustainability and conservation objectives of the Oman Botanic Garden development.
